As of Sep 5, 2026 (Polymerized Dreams · Atomic Heart Collab (Global · Jul 2026)), the community ranks The Twins, Marsha, J, Beryl as the best picks (S tier) in Reverse: 1999 Tier List, based on 115 player ratings from 12 voters.
This ranks the global Reverse: 1999 roster by all-round endgame value — how much a character carries in Limbo and Mane's Bulletin, the scored modes that actually test a team — assuming full investment (Insight 3, meaningful Resonance, Portray) and a competent rotation built around them. It is the meta-relevant global cut, roughly 95 Arcanists across all six Afflatuses; we leave out CN-only units that haven't reached the global build and the outclassed low-rarity fillers that never touch endgame. The axis is overall usefulness and consistency, not a single big damage screenshot.
The S tier is where the current meta is decided: Beryl and Brume set the reality-damage ceiling, Tooth Fairy, Semmelweis and Charon are the game-defining supports every DPS wants behind them, and Enigma lands straight into the premium survival/anchor slot next to Kiperina, J, Marsha, and the top-end backbone of Anjo Nala, Corvus, Ulrich, Willow and Spathodea. A tier is the deep, always-useful mid-core: Lucy, Jessica, Lorelei, Yenisei and the reliable healers like Kakania and Argus. B is where solid older 6-stars (Windsong, Kaalaa Baunaa, Jiu Niangzi, Pickles) still pull weight in the right team, while C holds the power-crept and budget picks — the free Sonetto, early collab and event units — that a modern roster has walked past.
These are provisional placements pulled from current endgame consensus, and Reverse: 1999 players have strong opinions — team-building this flexible means almost any Arcanist can overperform in the right comp. If you clear Limbo leaning on a B-tier pick, or you think an S unit is coasting on its banner hype, vote it up or down. The best character is the one that fits your Afflatus core and your rotation, so push these tiers toward what genuinely wins your runs.
