Mortal Kombat 1 Tier Lists
NetherRealm's rebooted Mortal Kombat, built around the Kameo system: every fighter is paired with a partner who can be called mid-combo, so a matchup is really a fight between two two-character teams. The playable roster stands at 35 — the 23 launch fighters, six Kombat Pack 1 additions (Ermac, Homelander, Omni-Man, Peacemaker, Quan Chi and Takeda) and six more from the Khaos Reigns expansion (Conan, Cyrax, Ghostface, Noob Saibot, Sektor and T-1000). Balance has sat still since the December 2025 hotfix, which raised the punish for interrupting a Kameo call from 20 to 50 damage and retuned 19 fighters; Ed Boon has since said NetherRealm is pursuing another Mortal Kombat, so this meta is unusually settled.
FAQ
Which Mortal Kombat 1 tier list should I use?
There is one live board: Character Tier List. Every tier on it is voted by players and re-tabulated as votes land.
What's S-tier in Mortal Kombat 1 right now?
As of December 2025 Hotfix, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Reiko lead the S tier on the Character Tier List. The full tier list updates live as votes land.
How often are Mortal Kombat 1 tier lists updated?
Continuously — tiers re-tabulate as votes land, and the last ranking change was 5d ago. When a new patch drops, boards roll forward so votes rank the current version, not last season's.
How are Mortal Kombat 1 tiers decided?
By player votes. Each visitor rates entries S, A, B or C, and every board re-bands from the blended community score. New boards start from a clearly-labeled expert baseline until enough real votes arrive — displayed counts only ever include player votes. Full methodology →
