The playable roster stands at 35 — the 23 launch fighters, six Kombat Pack 1 additions (Ermac, Homelander, Omni-Man, Peacemaker, Quan Chi and Takeda) and six more from the Khaos Reigns expansion (Conan, Cyrax, Ghostface, Noob Saibot, Sektor and T-1000). Balance has sat still since the December 2025 hotfix, which raised the punish for interrupting a Kameo call from 20 to 50 damage and retuned 19 fighters; Ed Boon has since said NetherRealm is pursuing another Mortal Kombat, so this meta is unusually settled.
