This Marvel Rivals tier list ranks every hero by overall strength in the Season 9.5 "The Mystery of Thebes" ranked meta, as voted by the community — one vote per person per hero, weighted toward recent ballots. S tier is reserved for the handful of meta-defining picks, most heroes land in the flexible A and B tiers, and only the genuinely underpowered fall to C.
Season 9.5 went live on Aug 7, 2026 and carried a real balance pass: buffs for Devil Dinosaur, Doctor Strange, Magneto, Rogue, Cyclops, Moon Knight, Phoenix, Wolverine, Scarlet Witch, Jubilee, Loki and White Fox, and nerfs for Venom, Black Panther, Elsa Bloodstone, Hela and Gambit, plus a round of team-up retunes. Peni Parker was reworked rather than simply nerfed, and has come out of it as one of the strongest picks in the game.
The Hood joined on Aug 7 as the 53rd hero, and a Vanguard rather than the Duelist his twin-pistol kit suggests. Early ranked results put him comfortably above average, but the sample is still young and his placement will move as players learn the matchup.
