Deadlock Item Tier List

Deadlock's item meta never sits still: Valve ships balance patches on a near-biweekly cadence, keeps reworking the Curiosity Shop's tier structure, and retunes the souls economy underneath it all. The 06-30-2026 update alone reworked Urn into Unstable Rift and warped the game toward AoE spirit bombs and tanky frontliners, flipping which tier-3 and tier-4 purchases are actually worth the souls.

This board ranks the items current builds actually fight over, as voted by the community. If your favorite is criminally underrated here, that's what the vote buttons are for.

One caveat about the patch stamp on this board. Deadlock labels are dated updates and the label is carried per game, so this board reads "Update · August 12, 2026" along with the hero board — but 12 August changed thirteen heroes and NOT A SINGLE ITEM. The last update that actually moved item power was 28 July 2026, which retuned seventeen of them, and these tiers were carried forward through that patch rather than re-measured against it. So treat the stamp as the game's current patch, not as the date this ranking was last checked. The four most likely to be wrong are the four that 28 July hit hardest: Echo Shard (a large nerf — half a second added post-cast, the +5% fire rate gone, and its cooldown now stacking on top of the imbued ability's), Spirit Burn (primary target only, explosion cut from 110 to 50), Weighted Shots (+40% weapon damage down to +30%) and Slowing Bullets (lost its +15% weapon damage outright).
