Deadlock's hero pool is still being actively rebalanced by Valve, and community perception often leads the data: a hero feels broken days before any stats site has samples to prove it.
This board ranks the full hero pool for ranked play on the current build. Early-community consensus is exactly the signal this game lacks elsewhere — vote what you see in your lobbies.
This board now carries the 12 August 2026 update, and one caveat belongs on the front of it: the label moved before the data did. That update was a genuine balance pass — thirteen heroes touched, no item changes — and the direction of travel is clear from the notes themselves. McGinnis took the heaviest hit (base bullet damage and growth down 5%, spirit resist per boon cut from +0.625% to +0.35%, Mini Turrets losing their early decaying resist and their zipline targeting), so her position near the top of S is the placement most likely to be wrong right now. Apollo was buffed again (Riposte melee resist reduction to -25%, T3 lifesteal from 60% for 7s to 75% for 13s) and Vyper's Petrifying Bola grew in both radius and duration, while Drifter, Wraith, Vindicta, Billy and The Doorman were all trimmed. Those placements are inherited from the 28 July anchor and have not yet been re-measured against post-12-August match data, which is only a few days deep. Treat the top of this board as the previous patch's answer until the next re-anchor.
