Every Age of Empires IV civilization ranked for ranked 1v1 on Patch 16.2.10604 - all 23 civs, from the dominant S-tier picks down to the ones losing more than they win. Seed placements come from AoE4 World's ladder statistics for the current patch (682,483 solo ranked games), read as win rate first with pick rate as a tiebreaker, then corrected by community votes. The June 1 balance pass shows up clearly in the data: buffed Jin Dynasty sits in A, while the nerfed Golden Horde, Knights Templar and Order of the Dragon have come off their peaks. Note the two most-played civs in the game - English (12.6% pick) and French (12.2%) - are popular rather than strong, and English in particular wins under 48% of its games. Scope and method: these are all-Elo ladder win rates for ranked 1v1 only. Team games rank differently - Abbasid Dynasty is mid-table in 1v1 but second-best in 4v4, and Zhu Xi's Legacy inverts the other way. Civ strength is also strongly map-dependent, and the ranked map pool now rotates automatically every month, so the top of this board can move without a balance patch. At tournament level the strongest civs are often banned rather than played.
