War Thunder Tier Lists
War Thunder is Gaijin's free-to-play military vehicle combat MMO, spanning tanks, aircraft, helicopters, and warships from the interwar years to the modern day. Its ten national tech trees each hold hundreds of vehicles, and pushing one to top tier is a grind measured in months — which makes 'which nation should I grind?' the single biggest decision any player faces. The catch is that nation strength is mode-specific: a tree that dominates on the ground can be mediocre in the air, and a lineup gap at the wrong battle rating can sour an entire grind. As of the Heavy Cavalry update, these boards rank the ten nation tech trees as complete packages — grind value, lineup consistency, and top-tier strength — as voted by the community.
FAQ
Which War Thunder tier list should I use?

What's S-tier in War Thunder right now?
As of Heavy Cavalry, USA, USSR lead the S tier on the Ground RB Nations Tier List. The full tier list updates live as votes land.
How often are War Thunder tier lists updated?
Continuously — tiers re-tabulate as votes land, and the last ranking change was 2d ago. When a new patch drops, boards roll forward so votes rank the current version, not last season's.
How are War Thunder tiers decided?
By player votes. Each visitor rates entries S, A, B or C, and every board re-bands from the blended community score. New boards start from a clearly-labeled expert baseline until enough real votes arrive — displayed counts only ever include player votes. Full methodology →
