Relics are the single biggest swing in any Slay the Spire 2 run, and this board ranks them by raw run impact on Ascension 20 — how often a pickup wins the game on its own, warps your deckbuilding and pathing, or quietly does nothing. Early Access reality matters too: several relics now carry Durability, so a body that shredded hallway fights can run dry by the time the boss shows up.
At the top, universal engines like Anchor, Bag of Preparation, Ice Cream and Mummified Hand sit next to the format-warping Ancients — Astrolabe, Snecko Eye, Runic Pyramid and Pandora’s Box — that you build and route around the moment you see them. The bottom of the list isn’t “bad” so much as narrow: Sozu, Maw Bank, Old Coin and one-note class trinkets like Snecko Skull only pop in the exact deck built to abuse them, and cost you nothing to skip otherwise.
These tiers are a starting seed, not gospel — Early Access balance shifts with every patch and half the fun is arguing about it. Think Membership Card is overrated, or that Fragrant Mushroom deserves S? Vote it up, vote it down, and let the community settle the Spire.
