The community vote is just getting started
The ordering below is a provisional editor suggestion — clearly marked. An entry ranks once it has 3+ community votes; the live list publishes when 6 entries get there. Be one of the first to rate.

The weapon meta in SAND refuses to sit still. Hologryph is shipping Early Access balance patches every few weeks, and a single expedition swings from quiet ruin-looting to defending your Trampler, boarding a rival crew's machine in cramped corridors, and finally extracting under fire — so a gun that only wins clean duels keeps losing ground to one that still works when the plan falls apart. There's no literal Legendary rarity here either: the chase pool is Experimental and Remarkable gear, and every patch nudges what's worth hauling home.
This board ranks all 22 handheld weapons a raider can carry — from the workhorse 866/9 Rifle to Experimental toys like the Orbital Strike Pointer — as voted by the community. If your favorite is criminally underrated here, that's what the vote buttons are for.
What is S-tier in SAND: Raiders of Sophie Weapon Tier List right now?
The community list is still forming for Early Access Update #2. The provisional editor suggestion puts 866/9 Rifle, KF866/9R "Mehrzel" Repeater, Orbital Strike Pointer at the top — vote to shape the live ranking.
How is this tier list decided?
It is community-voted: every player gets roughly one vote per entry (changeable anytime), votes are recency-weighted so the list tracks the current patch, entries need a minimum number of votes before being ranked, and results re-tabulate live.
How this tier list works
Community-voted: every player gets roughly one vote per entry (change it anytime), votes are re-tabulated live with recency weighting so the list tracks the current patch, and entries need a minimum number of votes before they get a rank. No win-rate scraping, no single expert — this is what players actually think. Full methodology →
