PUBG Mobile is Krafton and Tencent/Level Infinite's mobile battle royale, dropping up to 100 players onto maps like Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Vikendi, Livik and Rondo to loot, fight and be the last squad standing. Now in its eighth year, it runs on Version 4.4 'Hero's Crown' (live since May 12, 2026), shipping a fresh numbered version and themed mode roughly every two months. Version 4.4 delivered a major weapon rebalance: assault rifles took increased damage drop-off at medium-to-long range, while sniper rifles were buffed so their damage no longer falls off over distance. That shifted the meta toward precise DMR and sniper play and made airdrop weapons like the Groza, AWM and MK14 even more decisive.
