Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Character Tier List

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game launched July 23, 2026 on PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam); the Xbox Series X|S version was pushed back to no later than September 3, announced hours before release. All twelve launch fighters are on the board — the ten drawn from Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra plus Avatar Aang and Nightmare Korra, which the game ships as their own roster slots rather than as stances of the base characters.

The opening slate is now anchored to three post-launch tier lists (Pocket Tactics July 24, Sportskeeda July 24, Destructoid July 26) rather than a flat placeholder. All three put Azula at the very top — one gives her a solo tier above S — with Korra alongside her and Toph, Katara and Nightmare Korra just behind. Zuko and Sokka fall to the bottom on two of the three lists, which is also where the sources disagree most sharply: Pocket Tactics rates both of them A while the other two put them at the very bottom, so treat that end of the board as unsettled. Ranked Mode, lobbies and spectator mode are all still to come in post-launch patches, so this read is built on a week-old meta of casual play and combo discovery, not tournament data.
