Apex's weapon meta never sits still: Respawn rotates guns between floor loot and the Care Package, swaps hop-ups and ammo types, and retunes damage and recoil with every season. Season 29 sent the CAR SMG back to the floor, moved the L-STAR into the Care Package with a damage buff and the new Redline hop-up, and left burst weapons and fast-TTK SMGs ruling close-range ranked fights.
